Sugar is good for you

A few months ago I made a clip art set called sweet birthday that got really good responses.

Since I liked its theme, icons and color palette I decided to use them for a new pattern collection.

I wanted to make a large collection that will contain not only the icons I took from the set but also new ones I draw especially for the new project. I had a desire to design quite a lot of coordinates and combine both conversational (novelty) patterns and geometric (abstract) patterns in the collection.

I knew I need to keep the color palette and the vintage-scratched look to make sure the collection matches, while I can still have a variation of scale, spacing and color stories.

Designing the Sweet Pattern Collection was so much fun I stopped playing with it only when I run out of time and had to take care of other obligations.
